Lori Worosschuk, "Riley Warrior Cancer Fund" /@riley_rescuedog

  • Lori Woroschuk is the founder for   “The Riley Warrior Cancer fund.” The Riley Warrior Cancer fund is for helping and raising funds for dogs who are battling cancer. The vision behind the Riley Warrior Cancer fund is to have a special fund to help those in need of financial support to help their pup's cancer fight.  Lori believes it's the highest tribute she can give to her Riley angel and a legacy that genuinely represents Riley's love for others.
  • The Riley Warrior Cancer Fund is dedicated to Riley Warrior and all the brave cancer warriors out there fighting for every day!  We hope that you will share Riley's story and support our mission to help our cancer warrior friends in need. This will truly be a community effort, and hopefully one day we can end canine cancer. Until then, we need to fight this battle together.
  • Lori's rescue schnauzer Riley charmed the world with her long lashes, sweet soul, and message to all that kindness matters. Riley earned her angel wings after a brave battle with an aggressive lung cancer called a histiocytic sarcoma.  Riley's battle was not the first cancer fight for Lori's pups. Just eight years earlier Lori lost her first schnauzer Gracie to the same lung cancer, then two years ago lost Riley's rescue chow/lab brother Charlie to brain cancer. During Riley's fight, Lori shared Riley warrior's ups and downs. Riley's cheerleaders soon earned a name of their own, Riley's Warriors.  Cancer fights take a community of support.  The battles can be emotionally draining and can carry financial pressures that often determine if treatment is an option for 4-legged family members.  It was Riley and her amazing Riley's Warriors that made it clear to Lori that she needed to take action to help other families that needed help with their fur baby's cancer fight!
  • Lori is currently the Marketing and Communications Director of Sonus Hearing Care Professionals in Southern California and has worked in the healthcare sector for over eight years. She worked for over a dozen years as a TV News producer for several news organizations including WSB-TV Atlanta, The Weather Channel, NBC Sports, and 7 Network Australia. She has a B.SC with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Marketing as well as a Business Degree from NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology).

"Together we truly can do more and kindness does matter."
